I suffered with my previous "cheapy" scanner for two years, pondering it was as good as they get. However, that all altered when I utilized a friends Canon LiDE 20 scanning device. I realised just how negative my previous scanner actually was. The Canon was little ( just more than 1? higher ) and really quiet. The scan time is so significantly faster utilizing the USB2 port but the biggest advantage for me is not having to locate a spare mains socket for a mains adapter. The low power scanner light is entirely powered by means of the USB port. - Totally magic. Great for swapping in between my desktop and laptop computer. The scan top quality is precisely what you would anticipate from a leading producer..really extremely great. Needless to say - I purchased one particular.
